Donate an Object
To enrich its collection, the Museum accepts artefact donations related to life before and during the Holocaust or documenting the experiences of survivors in D.P camps and their immigration to Canada. Donating an object assures its protection and conservation.

- the lives and traditions of Jewish communities before the War (before 1939; Europe, North Africa or Canada),
- Jewish persecution and the period of the Holocaust (1933 to 1945), survivors' experiences during the years following Liberation (displaced persons camps, Canadian immigration, 1945-1953),
- historical antisemitism.

To be accepted, artefacts must be conserved in good condition and not need major restorative repair.

Provide us with specific details about the object and its acquisition, its use and the story of its owner(s). This will help the Centre's staff compare the object with other artefacts in the collection and determine its relevance in regards to the mission of the Museum.
How is the object's ownership transferred to the Museum?
- With a donation, transfer of the artefact's ownership is made official by a donation contract which stipulates that the donor gives all rights to the object and consents to it being displayed, loaned, conserved or stored according to the interests of the Museum.
Donation Recognition
- As soon as it is part of the collection, the object will become Museum property, which can then be stored, exhibited or interpreted according to the Museum's standard regulations.
- When artefacts are exhibited, donors' names will be mentioned according to the Museum's policies and standard regulations.
- Donors are not permitted to put special conditions on the way the Museum treats or exhibits donated artefacts.
